Rock tie series back up at 2-2

When the postseason began, the Six Nations Pro-Fit Chiefs knew its best-of-seven Major Series Lacrosse semifinal with the Oakville Rock would be a battle.
Thursday night at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre, the Rock scored early and never gave up the lead to take a 10-5 victory over the Chiefs.
The MSL semifinal series is now tied 2-2.
Dab Lomas led the charge early for the Rock, scoring the only two goals of the period.
The Chiefs tried to come back three times thanks to a pair of goals from Ryan Benesch and one from Dhane Smith. But after every Chiefs goal there was a Rock reply. Wes Berg scored twice, while Eric Fannell, Mitch Desnoo and Connor Fields netted one each
Fannell, Jeremy Noble and Ryan Launchbury added to the lead, while Kyle Jackson and Dan Dawson scored for the Chiefs.
Brandon Miller was tagged with the loss between the pipes, making 36 saves in 43 minutes of work. Dillon Ward entered the game and made four stops. Nick Rose earned the win in hte Rock net with a 49-save effort.
Game 5 returns to the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena Saturday at 7 p.m.
