Harris nets OT winner to get Chiefs within a game of MSL final

For the third time in this best-of-seven Major Series Lacrosse semifinal, it went to overtime. And for the second time in the series, the Six Nations Pro-Fit Chiefs came away with the victory.
While Dan Dawson scored the hat trick and Dillon Ward made 51 saves, Vaughn Harris was the overtime hero, scoring his second goal of the game to give the Chiefs a 5-4 win at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena.
Dawson scored twice, 10 minutes apart in the first period, before Oakville responded in the second period.
Stephen Lablanc and Jeremy Noble tied things up, before Harris gave the Chiefs another lead five minutes into hte second frame.
The Rock grabbed the momentum again in the back end of the second period, when Ryan Launchbury and Bad Kri gave the Rock its first lead of the game heading into the final 20 minutes.
Dawson scored his third goal of the game early in the third period. That was all the scoring either team could muster with Ward and Nick Rose stopping everything else in sight.
Harris' winner came six minutes into the extra period thanks to assists from Dawson and Dave Brock.
With a 3-2 advantage in the MSL semifinal, the Chiefs can punch its ticket to the league final with one more win. Game 6 is Monday at 8 p.m. at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre, with Game 7, if necessary, at 8 p.m. at the ILA.
