The victory by the Western Lacrosse Association champs tied the best-of-seven Mann Cup championship series 1-1.
Colin Doyle and Craig Point got the Chiefs rolling, giving the Chiefs an early lead, before Karsen Leung and Kasey Beirnes also exchanged goals.
The Shamrocks defence hunkered down in the second period, stifling the high-powered Chiefs, while Wardle added his first goal of the game.
The visitors finally got the lead thanks to Rhys Duch and Corey Small before Craig Point tied things up with six seconds remaining in regulation time.
In the first overtime, Doyle looked to have given the Chiefs the victory, but Corey Small forced a 20 minute sudden-death second overtime with 31 seconds to go.
Matt Flindell had a bounce back game for the Shamrocks, making 36 saves, while Brandon Miller had another fantastic game, making 40 stops.
The two teams will take a day off Sunday, with Game 3 of the series on Monday at 8pm.
