Chiefs to protect Harris

After much thought, Six Nations Chiefs general manager Duane Jacobs and his coaching staff have decided to protect Vaughn Harris during this weekend's Major Series Lacrosse draft.
He and Randy Staats were the two players the Mann Cup champions decided to protect when the draft takes place Sunday.
Harris has been a key cog for the Ontario Junior A Lacrosse League's Six Nations Arrows the last couple of years. With what he brings on the floor and off of it, Harris was one of the team's leaders.
The right-handed forward was limited to only two regular season games with the Arrows in 2013, scoring five goals and four assists in two games.
But in the playoffs, a healthy Harris helped the Arrows get to the Ontario finals, scoring 14 goals and 33 assists in 16 games.
Harris has also played for the Iroquois Nationals on a number of occasions, most recently with the men's indoor team that lost 12-11 to Canada in Montreal. Harris scored two goals in that game.
At the collegiate level, Harris has excelled, helping the Onondaga Community College Lazers capture NJCAA National championships.
